St. Andrew Catholic Hospital Holds Two-Day Staff Retreat Led by Rev. Fr. Isaac Amoateng

In line with its mission to promote holistic healthcare rooted in compassion and faith, St. Andrew Catholic Hospital, Kordiabe, organized a two-day staff retreat on Thursday, 30th October, and Friday, 31st October 2025. The event brought together management and staff for a period of spiritual renewal, reflection, and team strengthening.

The retreat, which was facilitated by Fr. Isaac Amoateng, focused on the theme of “Serving with Love and Equality.” Fr. Amoateng emphasized the sacred responsibility of healthcare workers to treat all individuals who come to the hospital for care with equal respect, compassion, and dignity, irrespective of their social, economic, or educational background.

He encouraged staff to view their work not merely as a profession but as a vocation of service to humanity, reminding everyone that every patient encounter is an opportunity to reflect God’s healing presence. He also highlighted the importance of empathy, humility, and teamwork as core virtues that strengthen the hospital’s commitment to Healthcare with Compassion.

Throughout the two-day retreat, participants engaged in prayer sessions, personal reflections, group discussions, and motivational talks. These activities allowed staff to pause from their daily routines, reconnect with their purpose, and draw inspiration to continue delivering excellent and compassionate healthcare services.

The retreat concluded with a thanksgiving session and renewed pledges from staff to uphold the hospital’s values of collaboration, transparency, respect, empowerment, and compassionate care.
